Are you kidding me? Not that he's biased or feels threatened by alternative energy sources, but shouldn't one disregard such commentary outright? That's like an arms manufacturer suggesting we should give up on the idea of peace. "Hey, war happens." So just sit back and enjoy the ride. Don't think so.
The article states that "hoping to end foreign oil imports is not only a bad idea, but also impossible." The "bad idea" portion of seeking alternatives to oil before the inevitable crisis of Peak Oil is not stated, but I would think that the corporate suits are worried about stockholder satisfaction.
